Colors of the sea and sky

The road into Aabenraa, where we now live, goes right along the beach. It‘s a pretty sight, coming around the bend, and then the sea opens up before you. I have a deep love for the sea, and so I have started taking a walk along the beach around 8am every morning. Most other people who come here at this hour actually go swimming, even now in January. While I admire the hardiness of the danish people, I am here for the colors. I absolutely love the colors - the sea, the sky, and the rising sun. Most days, it is a feast of pastels, with the sun barely visible behind ever-present clouds. Since this is the Baltic Sea, the water is usually also very calm, and becomes an endless mirror to the sky. I took the picture above on an afternoon walk, shortly before sunset. I love how the sky and the sea almost become one, the horizon almost disappearing in the distance.
